10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage Is Wrong

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were
allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

Hey everyone! I:m writing a final paper here at Doshisha University in Kyoto, and I:m having the hardest time ever finding articles about Shuushoku Katsudou, which if you know it, is the series of crazy interviews college students have to go through here in Japan.

IF you know of any articles, anything from newspapers, journals magazines, anything at all that could help me out, would you link me up???

Jun 7, 2006 — WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A constitutional ban on same-sex marriage failed to pass the Senate on Wednesday but Republican leaders planned to take it up in the House, keeping a national spotlight on the divisive issue.

The 49 to 48 vote fell short of the 60 votes needed to end debate, thwarting President George W. Bush and the mostly Republican senators who argued that the Constitution must be amended to prevent judges from striking down existing state-level bans on gay marriage.

Democrats said the vote was an attempt to muster conservative support ahead of the November congressional elections and divert public attention from more pressing issues like the war in Iraq that reflect poorly on Republicans.

I would just like to say that Dan Brown, author of the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons.... Is a genius.

It took me two years to pick up that book, but only 3 days to finish it. A brilliant piece of work that confirmed my beliefs. Absolutely outstanding. :)

I only hope the movie can claim as much.

I spent a lot of time outside today.. it felt really healthy to be out walking around even though I'm paying for it now. Sometimes I can't stop coughing and my lungs hurt. The sky is so so blue and people don't seem to troubled by the things they have to do. Still, it feels like things are crawling along..

Things aren't so good. I feel ignored when I'm talking to Matt online and I bombed my first ever midterm after studying for it for days/hours..... I'm so upset about it, I don't know what to do with myself. I can't go outside.

For some reason I'm becoming a part-time insomniac. Every other day or so I try to sleep around 12-1 and don't end up falling asleep before 6AM. I am doing a controlled experiment to measure the affect of non-caff soda, nerds candy, and music on my sleeping patterns to try to figure out what is keeping me up.

Had my first little test in Astronomy today. It was a great success to my relief. I'm feeling quite sleepy and I miss my friends. I wonder how you're doing Jaime. I check everyday but I haven't gotten your letter yet. I want to go to Australia. That would be wonderful.
